Variant -- Bioluminescence Update 2

For the first part of the process, getting the form of the plankton worm is necessary. I started by digitally creating some sketches of what the flat version of the 3D model would look like. The part that I want to emphasize the most here are the worms parapodia, the little legs of the worm all along the sides of the body. These parapodia have an amazing skill; they allow the organism to move through its environment while displacing minimal amounts of water, helping it go undetected by predators. This movement is being observed and is being applied by humans to create more fluid soft robots. These sketches will be used as a template for the prototypes and final piece, going through prototypes to work out what works best as a form.

In addition, here are some images of the materials that are going to be used to create the final model, and how they could interact with each other. I'm looking at how the light can be disrupted by the tulle and how I can add a soft yet prominent glow to the full figure.
