What came before?
But before that, a recap of last week: I am going to make a seashell breathe. Specifically, I am going to make a Nautilus Pompilius breathe. What have other artists done with them before? What about now?

My process with projects always leads me to looking for images that relate to my project. These are a few that I've come across that really make me appreciate the implementation of engraving to these Renaissance sculptures. This handicraft was a technology used by artists and scientists, and this shell is the remanent of that art+science collaboration. I'm not sure about the swivel chairs, but they're pretty nifty.
