10 foot easel and upcoming plans

The Easel has been constructed!

As we close the page on the construction of our easel, the project takes on a new challenge. The second part of this project will be focused on the production of a large scale lifecycle depicting the information I would like to share.

This will be based on similar visualizers such as this one made for the population of plovers in Canada.

The following info will be the main focus of my visualizer:

In total, 1,034 chicks were reported fledged, resulting in overall productivity of 1.31 fledglings/pair, 2020. This is a positive sign for Plover population.

Through highlighting positive elements this will be a tool of change I use to make the visualizer have it be friendly and approachable

On Martha's Vineyard, our main predators mostly consist of skunks, crows, and rodents.

We are at an advantage to harbor a larger population of plovers than the rest of the Cape.

This easel is a sculptural intervention that is meant to draw attention in a positive way towards our responsibility to care for our wildlife.

The issue I would like to combat is the use of cars on the beach.

This extends a hand to show new information and to clue in the tourists who may be unaware of the impact they have on this fragile system.

The next update will provide my own images of the habitat and potentially images of the plover population.

For now I have images from my local newspaper to show the change these birds go through from chick to adult.
