Intro to The Peony Project: Growing Stages

Patricia Daly is majoring in Animation. She hopes to focus on 3D digital animation and work on movies and similar projects.

Growing Stages

I hope to create a project using acrylic paint on wood board to show the phases of growth in a flower. Starting from seed in soil all the way to a bloomed flower, the anatomy will be labeled and each stage, also including the other species/environmental factors crucial in growth, e.g.:bees, rain, worms etc. I will include in this series views of the inside processes of the flower that allow for these rare blooms.

Fun Fact: Peonies need at least 400 hours of temps below 40 degrees in order to bloom in the spring. This is why they don’t grow well in warmer climates.
